KNUCA Opens Ukraine’s First RoboLab Robotics Laboratory

Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) has launched Ukraine’s first robotics laboratory, RoboLab. The innovative space was created as part of a project by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in collaboration with the Association of Robotics and Automated Systems, as announced by Oleksii Dniprov, Rector of KNUCA.

RoboLab is a state-of-the-art laboratory where students, faculty, and innovators can develop and test robotic solutions, work with 3D modeling and artificial intelligence, build prototypes, and foster collaboration with both businesses and the scientific community.

The laboratory features more than 30 workstations and offers:
·    Specialized equipment
·    Mechatronics kits
·    Two robotic arms
·    3D printers and scanners
·    Robotic platforms
·    Software for 3D modeling and design
·    AI infrastructure for developing custom robotic solutions

According to Oleksandr Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, this is a pilot project that will eventually be scaled to other higher education institutions across the country.

The RoboLab project is being implemented by the Association of Robotics and Automated Systems at the initiative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and with support from the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund, the technology company Ajax Systems, and Deus Robotics.
