KNUCA Strengthens Strategic Partnership with Japan: Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Visits University
A delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, Masashi Nakagome, visited the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. The Ambassador was accompanied by Dr. Takao Asamura, Secretary of the Culture and Information Section, and Ms. Makoto Tomizawa, Second Secretary of the Economic Section.
During a meeting with Rector Dr. Oleksii Dniprov, the Ambassador noted that KNUCA has significant potential for cooperation with Japanese companies, particularly in the areas of infrastructure recovery and the implementation of advanced technologies.
🏛 Special attention during the meeting was given to the newly established UNESCO Chair at KNUCA, whose priority is to ensure the protection of cultural heritage in the context of emergencies and wartime. This area is of particular relevance, given that the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine is the largest partner and donor to UNESCO projects in Ukraine, especially in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
🤝 Dr. Oleksii Dniprov expressed his gratitude to the people of Japan for their consistent support of Ukraine during this challenging period, emphasizing that the university highly values this solidarity and is committed to further developing mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in the fields of education, science, and technology.
